Program terms

Privacy notice

Program terms.

These terms cover the Brook Vet Program (the “program”), run by Pet Amazing, LLC, doing business as Brook (“Brook”, “we”).

1. About these terms

  • Applying to the program means you accept these terms and the privacy notice below. The first checkbox on the join form records that.
  • Brook’s Terms of Service cover every order on brookfountains.com, including orders placed with a program code, and everything these terms don’t address: returns, product warranty and liability, governing law and how disputes are handled.
  • Brook’s Privacy Policy covers brookfountains.com and orders. The privacy notice below covers program information only.
  • If anything on the program page, in program materials or in a program email differs from these terms, these terms control.

What Brook doesn’t guarantee. We’ll do our best to run the program as described on the program page, but the program is a free, voluntary benefit, and Brook guarantees nothing about it. In particular:

  • Acceptance into the program is at Brook’s sole discretion and is not guaranteed.
  • A program Brook depends on availability and is not guaranteed to any applicant or member.
  • Discount amounts, codes and other benefits may change or end at any time.
  • These terms may change, and Brook may change, pause or end the program at any time.
  • Brook is not liable for any of the above. Sections 2, 4, 13, 14 and 15 give the details.

2. Who can join

Veterinarians

Who: Licensed veterinarians (DVM or VMD) practicing in the United States.

What we confirm: License number and license state, against the state board's public records; work email at the practice.

Practice team

Who: Credentialed vet techs (CVT, LVT, LVMT, RVT), veterinary assistants, front desk team members and practice managers.

What we confirm: Work email at the practice.

Students

Who: Students enrolled in a veterinary (DVM or VMD) or veterinary technology program.

What we confirm: School email and a current student ID.

  • One membership per person. Each person applies with their own form. Memberships can’t be shared or transferred.
  • Members are 18 or older, live in the United States, and apply for themselves.
  • We review every application and normally reply within 2–3 business days. That is a target, not a promise.
  • Acceptance is at Brook’s sole discretion and is not guaranteed. We may ask for more information before confirming you, and we may decline any application without giving a reason. Brook decides who qualifies and may change the eligibility list at any time.

3. What you confirm when you apply

By submitting an application, you confirm that:

  • Everything on your application is accurate and current, and you’ll tell us if your practice, work email, role or license status changes.
  • You hold the license, credential, role or enrollment you selected.
  • Your practice, employer, group or school allows you to take part, and you have checked any gift or vendor policy that applies to you.
  • Nothing in your state board’s rules, your employment agreement or any other obligation prevents you from taking part.
  • No one asked you to apply on their behalf, and you are not applying to obtain a Brook or a code for someone else.
  • You’ll use your membership and any codes only as these terms allow.

The join form has three checkboxes. Ticking them records your agreement to these statements:

  1. I accept the Brook Vet Program terms and privacy notice.
  2. I understand that a free Brook or a program discount is a material connection, and that any opinion I share about Brook will say how I got my Brook.
  3. Any opinion I share about Brook will be my own, honest, and based on my own experience.

4. What members receive

Member type

Benefit

Veterinarians

A personal discount code for their own orders on brookfountains.com, sent by email after confirmation.

Practice team and students

One Brook at no cost, subject to availability, shipped to the practice address on the application once we confirm the license. One per veterinarian, once, however many practices they work at.

Each participating practice

One practice code and one QR code for the practice’s clients and its veterinarians (section 7).

  • Joining is free. Nothing after joining is required: not a purchase, a check-in reply, an opinion, an article or a recommendation.
  • Program Brooks are limited and not guaranteed to any applicant or member. Brook decides how many are in the program, may cap the number per practice, and may pause or stop sending them at any time. If a Brook isn’t available when we confirm you, we’ll tell you; you may wait or take a personal discount code instead.
  • Discount amounts are stated in the code email, not here. Brook sets them and may change them for future orders.
  • Benefits have no cash value and can’t be exchanged, transferred, sold or combined with other offers unless the code email says otherwise.

5. Your program Brook

  • It ships only to a veterinary practice address in the United States. We don’t ship program Brooks to homes, PO boxes or addresses outside the United States.
  • Once it arrives, it’s yours to keep, including if you later leave the program. Use it at the practice or at home.
It carries the same limited warranty as a purchased Brook, under Brook’s Terms of Service. If it arrives damaged, email us a photo within 14 days of delivery and we’ll arrange a replacement.
  • It’s for your own use. Don’t resell it, raffle it, or give it away as a prize.
  • If a Brook or code was obtained with inaccurate information, we may close the membership, cancel its codes, and ask you to return the Brook or pay its list price.
  • Any tax that applies to a program Brook or discount is your responsibility. Brook doesn’t give tax advice.

6. Discount codes

  • A personal code is for your own orders. A practice code is for the practice’s clients and the practice’s own veterinarians. Both work only on brookfountains.com, on orders shipped within the United States.
  • One code per order. The discount shows at checkout. Codes don’t combine with other offers unless we say so in writing.
  • Share codes only as these terms allow. Don’t post a code on coupon or deal sites, forums or marketplaces, sell it, or use it to buy Brooks for resale.
  • Brook may deactivate, limit or replace any code at any time and will email you a replacement if one is issued. We may cancel orders that misuse a code.
  • Codes have no cash value.

7. Practice codes and practice participation

  • A practice takes part when at least one of its veterinarians is a confirmed member. Practice team and student memberships alone don’t create a practice code.
  • We send the practice code and QR code to the first veterinarian we confirm at the practice. That vet is the practice’s program contact unless the practice tells us otherwise. Every veterinarian at the practice shares the same code.
  • Share the code with clients in the clinic, by email, on the practice’s website and on the practice’s own social accounts. The full discount goes to the client. The practice and its team receive nothing for a client’s order.
  • Posting about Brook is an endorsement. If the practice or a member mentions Brook on a website, social account, newsletter or anywhere public, say how you got your Brook in the post itself, not behind a link. For example: “Our practice received a Brook at no cost through the Brook Vet Program.”
  • Use the materials we send (QR code, cards, articles) as sent. Brook and the Brook logo are trademarks of Pet Amazing, LLC; use them only in those materials, and get written approval for any other use. Don’t alter Brook’s name, logo or product descriptions, and don’t make health claims about Brook beyond what Brook’s own materials say.
  • A practice code stays active while the practice takes part. It closes when no confirmed veterinarian member remains at the practice, or when Brook closes it under section 13. We may ask the program contact to confirm the practice’s participation at any time.
  • We never tell a practice which clients used its code. Practices may receive aggregate redemption counts only.

8. An unpaid program: independence and no agency

  • Brook pays nothing to practices or members. The benefits in section 4 are the whole benefit. Nothing is paid or given for recommending Brook, for a client’s order, for a check-in reply, an opinion or an article.
  • Clinical judgment stays yours. Brook provides product information and client education materials. Whether, when and to whom you recommend a water fountain, Brook’s or anyone else’s, is your decision. Members are free to recommend any product.
  • Members aren’t employees, agents, contractors or representatives of Brook. Members can’t speak for Brook or make promises, warranties or commitments in Brook’s name.
  • Your state board’s rules, your employer’s policies and your professional code of ethics come first. If any of them conflicts with these terms, follow them and tell us. We’ll adjust what we can or close your membership.
  • If your practice or group has a gift policy, check it before accepting a Brook. Declining the Brook doesn’t affect a practice code or a personal discount.

9. Check-ins

  • About two weeks after a veterinarian’s Brook arrives, we email to ask how it fits into the practice’s day. Replying is optional, and what you say doesn’t change your benefits.
  • We use replies internally to improve the product and the program. We don’t publish a check-in reply unless you approve it in writing as an opinion under section 10.

10. Opinions (testimonials)

An “opinion” is anything you tell us about Brook that we may publish with your name: a quote, a review, a short video, or a check-in reply you approve for publication.

  • Sharing is optional and unpaid. Your Brook, your code and your membership stay the same whether you share an opinion, and whatever it says.
  • A free Brook or a program discount is a material connection under the FTC Endorsement Guides. Every opinion we publish carries a disclosure stating how you got your Brook, for example: “Received a Brook at no cost through the Brook Vet Program.” When you post about Brook yourself, include the same disclosure in the post.
  • Your opinion must be your own, honest, based on your own experience with Brook, and within your state board’s rules. Don’t make health or medical claims about Brook you can’t support.
  • Before publishing, we send you the final version: wording, name, credentials, practice and state. We publish only what you approve in writing; an email reply counts. We may suggest edits for length, clarity, or wording that reads as a medical claim. We won’t change the meaning of an approved opinion.
  • Brook decides what to publish. We aren’t obligated to publish any opinion, and we may stop showing one at any time.
  • By approving an opinion, you grant Brook a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to publish it, with your name, credentials, practice name, state and, if included, your photo, likeness and voice, as approved, on brookfountains.com, in Brook’s emails and on Brook’s own social accounts. If we want to use it anywhere else (paid ads, Amazon or other marketplaces, packaging, print), we’ll name that channel in the approval request, and your approval covers it.
  • You may ask us to take an opinion down at any time by email. We remove it from brookfountains.com and other Brook-controlled channels within 10 business days. We can’t recall printed materials already distributed, ads already run, or copies others have made.

11. Writing for pet owners

Veterinarians and credentialed vet techs may send an article, a column or a quick tip for pet owners to nuran@brookfountains.com. Writing is optional and unpaid.

  • What you send must be your own work, general information for pet owners, and must invite readers to talk with their own veterinarian about decisions for their pet. It must not include an identifiable client, patient or pet without the owner’s written consent, confidential practice information, or any text, photo or quote you don’t have permission to use.
  • Don’t claim that Brook or any product diagnoses, treats, prevents or cures a condition.
  • Mentioning Brook is your call. Each piece carries a note on how you got your Brook.
  • Our team edits for length, clarity, layout and sourcing and may ask for changes. We publish only after you approve the final version in writing. We may decline to publish any piece and may remove one at any time.
  • A published piece shows your name, credentials, practice and state, with a link to the practice website if you want one. A “Reviewed by [Name], DVM” line on Brook content is optional and appears only with that veterinarian’s written approval.
  • You keep the copyright. You grant Brook a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to publish the approved version on brookfountains.com, to link to it from Brook’s emails, social accounts, QR codes and cards, and to quote short excerpts with attribution. Any other use is named in the approval request, and your approval covers it.
  • You may ask us to take a piece down at any time by email. We remove it from Brook-controlled channels within 10 business days. Printed cards already distributed and copies others have made are outside our control.

12. Brook’s use of your name and practice

  • We use your name, credentials, practice name and state only as you approve under sections 10 and 11.
  • We may describe the program in aggregate, for example how many practices or states take part, or aggregate results of check-ins and surveys, without naming anyone.
  • We use the practice name and address internally to ship a Brook, issue a practice code and confirm participation.

13. Leaving and closed memberships

  • You may leave at any time by emailing nuran@brookfountains.com. Your Brook stays yours. Your personal code stops working when you leave. Approved opinions and articles stay published unless you ask for a takedown under sections 10 and 11.
  • Brook may close any membership, or a practice’s participation, at any time, with notice by email, and without giving a reason. Reasons include inaccurate application information, code misuse, loss or suspension of a license or credential, leaving the practice, a request from your employer, or conduct that could harm Brook’s reputation.
  • When a membership closes, its codes stop working. A practice code stops when the practice’s participation ends.
  • Sections 5, 10, 11, 12, 15 and 16 continue to apply after a membership ends.

14. Changes to the program and these terms

  • Brook may change, pause or end the program, or change these terms, at any time. We’ll email members about material changes, and the date at the top shows the current version. A change takes effect when we post it, or on the later date stated in the email.
  • Staying in the program after a change takes effect means you accept it. If you don’t accept it, you may leave under section 13.
  • If the program ends, codes stop working on the date in our email. Brook owes nothing beyond Brooks already shipped and discounts already applied, and is not liable to anyone for changing, pausing or ending the program, for declining an application, or for closing a membership.

15. Disclaimers and liability

  • Except for the product warranty in section 5, the program, program Brooks, codes and program materials are provided as is. Brook makes no other promise about the program: that an application will be accepted, that the program will continue, that a Brook or code will be available, that shipments, emails or codes will arrive or work without delay or error, that any opinion or article will be published, or that the program page and materials are free of errors.
  • Brook is not a veterinarian and gives no veterinary advice. Program materials are general information. You remain responsible for your clinical advice and for how you use Brook’s materials with clients.
  • To the fullest extent the law allows, Brook is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of the program, and Brook’s total liability to a member for anything connected with the program is limited to the list price of one Brook. Claims about the Brook product itself, including warranty and product liability, are governed by Brook’s Terms of Service. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
  • You’re responsible for what you submit and post. If a claim is made against Brook because your opinion, article or post infringed someone’s rights, broke a law, breached a rule that binds you (your board, your employer, client confidentiality), or relied on inaccurate information you provided, you’ll reimburse Brook’s resulting losses and reasonable legal fees.

16. General

  • These terms, the privacy notice below, and Brook’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are the whole agreement about the program. Statements on the program page, in materials or by a team member don’t change it unless Brook confirms the change in writing.
  • New Jersey law governs these terms. Disputes are handled as Brook’s Terms of Service provide.
  • If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If Brook doesn’t enforce a term right away, it can still enforce it later.
  • You can’t assign your membership. Brook may assign these terms to a successor or buyer of its business.
  • Notices to you go to the email on your application. Notices to Brook go to nuran@brookfountains.com. Order questions: hello@brookfountains.com.

Visits to the program page are covered by Brook’s Privacy Policy, including cookies and analytics.

2. How we use it

We use program information to run the program:

  • Confirm eligibility: your license against your state board’s public license records, your work or school email through a confirmation link, and your enrollment through your student ID.
  • Ship a veterinarian’s Brook and resolve delivery problems.
  • Create, send and manage personal codes, practice codes and QR codes; apply discounts at checkout; and detect code misuse.
  • Send program emails: confirmation, codes, the two-week check-in for veterinarians, approval requests and program updates. Brook marketing emails need a separate sign-up.
  • Publish the opinions and articles you approve in writing, with your name, credentials, practice and state as you approve them.
  • Run and improve the program and its client materials, using your optional answers, check-in replies and code redemptions.
  • Keep records of consents, approvals and disclosures; comply with the law; protect Brook’s rights; and prevent fraud.
  • Measure program results in aggregate.

3. Who sees it

  • The Brook team members who run the program.
  • Service providers under contract that help us run it, and that may use the information only to provide their service: Shopify, for codes and orders; the provider that runs our join form and stores files; our email provider; and the carrier that ships a veterinarian’s Brook.
  • The public: only what you approve in writing, an opinion or article with your name, credentials, practice and state.
  • Authorities, courts or others where the law requires it, or where needed to protect Brook’s rights, property or safety.
  • A buyer or successor if Brook’s business is sold or reorganized. This notice continues to apply.

4. What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell program information or share it for targeted advertising.
  • We don’t tell your practice, employer or school that you applied or joined, unless you ask us to. The practice contact receives the practice code (terms, section 7) and nothing about other members.
  • We don’t tell practices which clients used their code. Practices may receive aggregate counts only.
  • We don’t publish anything with your name without your written approval.

5. Your student ID

  • We use your student ID only to confirm enrollment. We need your name, your school and a current term or date. You may cover the ID number and your date of birth before uploading.
  • Until we decide, the file is stored with the provider that runs our join form and our file storage, with access limited to the team members who review applications.
  • We delete the file within 30 days of our decision, from the form provider and our file storage, and keep only the result and its date.

We may keep information longer where the law requires it or to handle a dispute.

7. Your choices and rights

  • See, correct or delete your program information: email nuran@brookfountains.com. We may need to confirm it’s you first, and we may keep what the law requires or what we need to run the program while you’re a member.
  • Take down an opinion or article, or leave the program, at any time.
  • Unsubscribe from program updates with the link in each email. While you’re a member, we may still send service messages, such as a code change or the program ending.
  • Brook’s Privacy Policy lists your rights under state privacy laws, including portability, withdrawing consent, appeals and using an authorized agent, and how to exercise them.

8. Security

Access to program information is limited to the team members who run the program, through password-protected accounts. Our providers store it under their own security measures. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee it.

9. Age

The program is for adults 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we delete it if we learn we have.

10. Changes

When this notice changes, we update the date at the top and email members about material changes. The new version applies from the date shown, or the later date stated in the email.
