Do I need a pet fountain?

Offering your pet flowing water is one of the most important things you can do for their hydration and overall health. Indoor cats are especially susceptible to dehydration.

Is glass safe?

What do you drink out of? Brook uses 100% food-grade borosilicate & soda-lime glass. It does not leach anything into their water and is the most resistant to biofilm. See why glass is the best material for a pet fountain.

Is Brook easy to clean?

Brook is the easiest fountain to clean and maintain. It comes apart in seconds. Every glass piece is dishwasher safe, or a quick hand wash. Run the pump in vinegar for 20 minutes every month or so & replace the filters on schedule.

Does it filter the water?

A pet fountain maintains water freshness through constant movement – keeping the water oxygenated and inhibiting bacteria growth. Brook has a debris filter to protect the pump, and activated carbon in mesh sachets to absorb chemical contaminants in the water. The quality of the water you start with matters most.

Are filters affordable?

What if something breaks?

Every part is individually replaceable, with spare parts always in stock. All glass parts are guaranteed against manufacturing defects, and there is a 1-year warranty on the pump.

Hard water scaling?

If you have hard water, mineral deposits get left behind on surfaces when the water evaporates. Do not try to scrub it off! Spray it with regular vinegar from a spray bottle and let sit for 20 minutes. Wash it off with a soft sponge.

How to clean the pump?

The easiest way to clean the pump is to put it in a cup of vinegar and let it run for ~20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly after. The pump comes apart easily for deeper cleaning – cleaning brushes are included.

Is it heavy?

“This is the first fountain our cat can’t move” is something we hear all the time. It’s about 11 lb full – heavy and stable. To make it easier for you to lift and carry, get an elevated stand.

Is there customer support?

Are the pets real?

Is it wireless?

Truly wireless fountains don’t exist. To preserve battery life, wireless fountains use a motion sensor to activate, meaning it’s a regular water bowl 99% of the time. Brook plugs into a wall outlet to run continuously.

Will it get slimy?

Slime (biofilm) forms on textured surfaces. While glass is the smoothest material, it can become textured from hard water scaling. Descale your glass regularly by spraying it with regular vinegar, letting it soak in for 15 minutes, and washing off with a soft sponge.
