As part of our commitment to continual innovation, Brook is the first pet fountain to phase out synthetic non-woven fabric. We're replacing it with mesh made from polylactic acid (PLA) – the same silky, plant-based, food-safe material used in premium teabags.
WHAT's THE BENEFIT?
Better Flow
Water flows more freely through the PLA mesh, making the carbon more effective.
Less Bacteria
The mesh offers significantly less surface area for bacteria to grow, extending water freshness.
What's the CATCH?
The mesh pouches cost about 20% more to produce. We believe it's worth it. But we don't believe in charging you extra for it – so we're picking up the tab. Filter replacement set prices will remain unchanged.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
Cleaner water that stays fresh longer – at no additional cost to you! We've already started rolling them out in April 2026 – so you'll be seeing them in all new fountains and filter replacement sets! 😺
